Engineering staff work closely with planning staff on the development approval process, especially on reviews and Construction Completion Certificates and Final Acceptance Certificates. Their expertise with the engineering and technical requirements ensures buildings in the Town of Cochrane meet with appropriate engineering design standards. They also work with other Town departments on special projects such as environmental studies, drainage management, water course management and more.
The Town follows standard engineering practices and many of Calgary’s guidelines that are available on Calgary's Urban Development Publications website. There are local exceptions however, which Town of Cochrane Engineering provides for the local building industry. For more information, contact us.
