Parenting Programs

Parenting is one of the hardest jobs in the world!  Thanks to the many programs offered by the Parent Link Centre you don't have to do it alone.

Parent Education Courses

Parent Education Courses are offered throughout the year on a variety of topics. To find out what courses are currently being offered view our monthly calendar or contact 403-851-2265.

Parenting Tips

Drop into the Parent Link Centre (PLC) for parenting support. Early Childhood Educators are available to provide information, education, parenting strategies and referrals to community agencies as well as answer any parenting questions you may have. If you are looking for more support we also offer a Home Visitation Program, Triple P Parenting Program and Respite Program.

Developmental Screening

You check your child's eyes and teeth - now it's time to check their development!  Developmental screening provides parents with an accurate portrait of their child's development, educates families about what to expect in their child's next stage of development and offer parents ideas and suggestions to promote their child's development. For more information or to complete a developmental screen call 403-851-2265 or drop into the Parent Link Centre.
Parent Resource Library
We have a comprehensive library of parenting books and children's books available for your family to borrow.  We also offer Parent Resource Boxes on a variety of topics, including potty training, divorce, fine motor skills and more!  Each resource box contains parenting books, children books, tip sheets and activities to share as a family.  Early Childhood Educators are available to answer parenting questions, help you to complete a developmental screen for your child or assist in finding resources.
Fathers Matter
This program offers a series of dynamic sessions to consider the things that matter most as parents.  Together, moms and dads explore their experience of family life, including their unique relationship with their partner or co-parent, the family's balance of life stresses and support, and the ways their upbringing may impact the way they parent.

Each program night includes a catered meal, childcare and two-hour parenting program.  If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please call Terri Lauer at 403-851-2267 or
