The current council was elected October 16, 2017. The Mayor and six council members are elected every four years (every three years before 2013); the next municipal election is October 18, 2021.
Council meetings are held at the Cochrane RancheHouse on the second and fourth Monday of each month (Council meets only once in July, August and December). All Council meetings are open to the public. There are also opportunities for members of the public to participate in Council Committees and other volunteer events and organizations.
