FEDERAL CENSUS SHOWS COCHRANE GROWTH STILL HIGH

Canada Flag.JPG

As we already know, Cochrane is a highly desirable place to live — data released by Statistics Canada today proves it.

Cochrane made the federal census highlights as a municipality with a growth rate eight times the national average between 2011 and 2016. Cochrane is also part of the trend that shows western provinces outpacing national growth numbers.

Cochrane’s annual census will provide updated numbers by this summer.

Accurate census data helps municipalities plan for infrastructure and service needs, and helps ensure appropriate funding needs are met.
