(Cochrane, AB) – Residents are reminded of the ongoing opportunity to provide their feedback on Cochrane services, as a first step in developing the 2025-2027 budget.

To participate in the survey and provide feedback, community members are invited to use the QR code or text link on the postcard delivered to each residence or visit www.letstalkcochrane.ca/budgetsurvey before May 8.

Prior to drafting the budget, Administration is seeking to understand the community's desired level of service to ensure departmental business plans and budgets reflect community demand and design service delivery in an effective, efficient and financially sustainable way.

“Engaging Cochrane residents during this budget process continues to be a priority for Council and Administration,” says Stacey Loe, Executive Director Corporate Services, Town of Cochrane. “We are looking for feedback on municipal services again this year so we can ensure that Cochrane’s budget reflects the service levels: what is working for you, what isn’t, and how we can best serve the people of Cochrane – today and into the future.”

Last year’s survey results indicated that 50% of residents supported an increase in taxes to maintain or increase services. The feedback received from the survey led to increased investment in parks and pathways, roadways and community safety with the addition of four more firefighters.

Residents over 18 may also be contacted for a random telephone survey conducted by an external consultant. For more information on the budget survey visit letstalkcochrane.ca/budgetsurvey.
