DESCRIPTION
As part of a partnership project with Variety of Alberta Children’s Charity, this project is intended to replace the protective surfacing in the east playground located in Centennial Park. Variety Alberta will fundraise to replace the existing playground equipment with updated, accessible equipment. At the time of equipment replacement the Town of Cochrane will replace the outdated rubber surface.

BACKGROUND
This is the second partnership venture with Variety Charities of Alberta. In 2018 the east portion of the playground was updated through a similar project, outdated equipment was replaced with new accessible, inclusive play equipment. The playground continues to be a destination park for residents of Cochrane and has proven to be a popular stop for families with children of varying ages.

Resurfacing portion of project: $85,000
