Cochrane’s Council is the elected governing body of the Town of Cochrane. The Mayor is the chief elected official. The Deputy Mayor position is appointed to each Councillor on a rotation.
Collectively, Council is responsible for:
- setting strategic priorities for the municipality
- setting public policy and direction
- adopting bylaws
Council was elected October 18, 2021. The Mayor and six council members are elected every four years.
