The Town has launched a new application process to commemorate local events, special occasions, and achievements in the community.
Starting October 1, community organizations can request recognition by illuminating the Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge in a particular colour. A flag-raising at the Cochrane RancheHouse is also available. The application process provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate special occasions and events which foster a spirit of community and celebrate Cochrane’s diverse cultures.
“The Town of Cochrane is a welcoming, dynamic and inclusive place that proudly celebrates the diversity of our residents,” said Kristie Bell, Manager, RancheHouse Event Centre. “There are so many great local and international groups and causes out there that the Town can recognize, and this application process will help support these groups achieve broader awareness in our community.”
Applications must be not-for-profit, community-focused, and received at least three weeks prior to the requested date. Requests are processed in the order in which they are received, are considered on a case-by-case basis, and may:
