(Cochrane, AB) – Cochrane is celebrating National Volunteer Week by recognizing all the local volunteers who devote their time to supporting and building community spirit.
From April 24-31, “Empathy in Action,” is an opportunity for the community to celebrate volunteers and recognize their immense impact within Cochrane.
“Thank you to the incredible volunteers who have selflessly given so much of their time and dedication,” says Kim Krawec, Manager of Family and Community Support Services, Town of Cochrane. “This week, we celebrate the volunteers whose empathy, compassion and generosity connect people to the community, contributing to a more vibrant and inclusive space for everyone.”
Cochrane's Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is showing appreciation by gifting various social non-profit organizations with items for every active volunteer within their organization.
Thousands of volunteers dedicate countless hours to support the health and wellbeing of our community. In 2021, 142 volunteers contributed over 850 hours to support FCSS programs and initiatives.
