Cochrane, AB – Cochrane’s Family & Community Support Services is partnering with several organizations to host a week-long Seniors’ Week celebration of unique activities for seniors to enjoy.
During the week of June 6-12, a range of events and programs will be offered for older adults between the ages of 50-64 and seniors 65+. The week is filled with a variety of social, physical and educational activities, including free drop-in programs hosted by Seniors on the Bow and Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre.
“We are looking forward to the incredible Seniors’ Week activities planned for this year and celebrating the remarkable seniors in our community,” says Kim Krawec, Manager of Family & Community Support Services, Town of Cochrane. “Thanks to all our incredible sponsors, partners and volunteers for offering a week’s worth of amazing programs and events. We are so grateful for their generosity.”
In addition to the regularly scheduled events, free COLT service will be offered to all passengers ages 60+ during the week. Seniors are welcome to book their trip up to one week in advance by using the Ride COLT app, visiting the webpage, https://ridecolt.ca or by calling 403-851-5995, use the coupon code ‘senior’.
