    Weaving Words is an opportunity for writers with some work under their belt to get much needed feedback. Course includes:?? Guided writing activities ?? Multiple opportunities to share and receive feedback ?? One-on-one support from a professional writer. This course also provides insights into pitching your work, writing for commission, submitting for competition, and submitting for publication. Open to writers of prose, poetry, screenwriting and anything in between. Charlotte Nixon-Charlotte’s enthusiasm for all forms of creative writing is enhanced by her experience as actor, director, designer, filmmaker and playwright. Adult 18+

    Are you struggling with why a photo you took just isn’t “popping”? Did you see something and then tried to catch it with your camera and it just didn’t “get there”? Are your selfies lifeless? Are you bored with just taking photos of the family and want ideas to ignite the imagination and tap into the amazing power of your camera? Then this course is for you! Over the course of six weeks we will explore how to “see” with your camera. We will explore how to improve on the subject matter you are trying to capture. You will be introduced to new things to explore with your camera that you might not have known were possible. No experience is necessary – just your camera. We will learn some principles and then bend rules while we explore the Matrix! No martial art knowledge required. Instructor David Mackenzie, David inspires his students with his passion for storytelling through photography. Adult 18+

    Beginner Level - 6 Classes Fridays, May 28 – July 9 (Except July 2) Create a portrait of a subject of your choice using acrylic paint. Learn the proportions of the head, how to create a likeness and the colours used to paint skin tones from sketching a chosen individual, drawing onto canvas, beginning the painting process by blocking in shapes with washes, adding darker tones to using thicker paint to add warm and cool colours.
