Backpack program
A partnership with the Family Resource Network (FRN), Staples and the Kiwanis Club of Cochrane eases the financial stress of a new school year by providing students K-12 with important back-to-school supplies.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the backpack program you will need to show:
- Proof of enrollment in a Cochrane or West Rocky View County School
- Have a Cochrane Connect Card level one or provide a GST notice of credit
Apply
Applications for the program must be done in person and will be accepted at the Family Resource Network from August 11 - September 26, 2025. Residents without proper documentation can call to book an appointment with a FRN Resource Worker.
How to donate
The backpack program relies heavily on community donations. Monetary donations for this valuable program are accepted at Staples (40 Quarry Street E.) or the FRN (127 First Avenue W.).
