Connecting you to more and improving access to affordable transportation, recreation, services and more.
The Cochrane Connect Card program provides you with extra support, helping put money back in your pocket for the things that matter most. The Cochrane Connect Card is an initiative that contributes to the overall wellbeing of Cochrane and Area residents, by providing low-income families and individuals access to a variety of services and programs at a reduced rate.

THE BENEFIT
The Cochrane Connect Card is designed to help you save on services, programs, products, and everyday items - allowing you to live life to it’s fullest.
The card offers a wide array of discounts and promotions to 24 Cochrane and area local businesses, as well as two additional Cochrane-offered services. The card improves your access to affordable transportation, recreation, programs and services.

The Connect Card opens you up to a world of local businesses, keeping support within the community. This is a card that bring local to local. It’s not just about local businesses supporting the community, but also, the community supporting local businesses.
Discount eligibility is determined by the level discount you qualify for. Household composition, income and more are used to evaluate your level status.

COCHRANE ON DEMAND
LOCAL TRANSIT (COLT)
Cochrane On-Demand Local Transit is a bold way to deliver transit, designed specifically for our community. COLT uses technology to provide responsive on-demand service — where and when Cochranites want it.
When you want a ride on COLT, you can use the website, mobile app or call COLT directly to request a bus at a specific stop at a specific day and time (during service hours). Buses can be requested up to a week in advance, or just minutes in advance (pending availability).
COLT has 149 unique bus stops in Cochrane and operates Monday to Friday from 6am-8pm and Saturdays from 9am-3pm.

FCSS & FRN VOLUNTEER
INCOME TAX PROGRAM
For over 15 years, both the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) have worked together to create a program that assists eligible residents who have a modest income and a simple tax situation.
Community volunteers are trained by the Canada Revenue Agency to provide tax assistance and help residents access significant government benefits. The program runs every year around tax season and last year alone, 431 tax returns were filed through the program.

COCHRANE PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Cochrane Public Library contributes to the well-being and health of the community by providing information, supporting literacy and bringing people together. Their participation in the Marigold Library System, makes it a single point of access to millions of movies, books, CDs, DVDs, events and more.
Cochrane Public Library members can access the library's various programs and services. Members also have access to thousands of library materials from across the province using our interlibrary loan system. They currently serve residents living within the city limits of Cochrane and Rocky View County taxpayers, including, Elbow Valley, Springbank, Bearspaw, Bragg Creek, Waiparous, and Redwood Meadows.

SPRAY LAKE SAWMILLS
FAMILY SPORTS CENTRE
Open to everyone, SLS Family Sports Centre specifically serves Cochrane and the western region of Rocky View County. The one-stop sports centre offers a variety of fitness activities, programs, swim lessons, day camps, personal training sessions, outdoor events and more.
Whether health and fitness has always been part of your life or you’re just getting started, they have a variety of facilities for your enjoyment, including: an aquatic centre, warm water therapy pool, outdoor spray park (seasonal), fitness centre, climbing wall, Three hockey arenas, hockey skate shop, indoor turf area, curling centre, indoor track, gymnasium, off-site arena, and Play Care, children’s daycare.
SLS offers a membership option, which includes access to the aquatic centre, fitness centre, indoor track, fitness classes, drop-in activities as well as the curling centre. Something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
ROLL E-SCOOTERS & E-BIKES
In 2021, Canadian company, Roll, hit the streets of Cochrane with its fleet of shared electronic scooters, later adding e-bikes. The seasonal service typically runs from spring into fall, allowing Cochranites the opportunity to get across town in a safe, accessible and affordable fashion.
During the riding season, e-scooters and bikes are available in Historic Downtown, East End, Fireside, Glenbow, Heartland, Heritage Hills, Riversong, Riverview, the Quarry, and West Valley/Terrace/Point, extending to Sunset Ridge, Bow Ridge, Jumping Pound Ridge, Bow Meadows and Cochrane Heights.
The current service aims to create an opportunity for shared micro-mobility that is more accessible and equitable for the community.
