(Cochrane, AB) – Last week, the Town hosted an initial information session for Glenbow residents to learn more about the upcoming Glenpatrick Drive Infrastructure Replacement Project. The session provided an opportunity for the community to learn about the project’s status, ask questions and share feedback as the Town moves forward with these essential infrastructure upgrades.
The open house saw strong community participation, with approximately 123 attendees actively engaging with Town representatives, reviewing project plans and discussing the overall purpose and scope of the project. The valuable insights shared by residents will help shape ongoing communication and project planning efforts, including the development of information to be presented at the second information session once a contractor is in place.
“The Town is committed to proactive engagement and transparent communication throughout the Glenpatrick Drive project,” said Drew Hyndman, Executive Director, Development & Infrastructure Services. “We appreciate that these projects are impactful to resident’s day-to-day lives and are committed to sharing information, collecting feedback and working with the community as we work to improve this important infrastructure.”
In 2024, the Town completed the detailed design for the Glenpatrick Drive Infrastructure Replacement Project. The project is currently in the RFP stage to select a contractor. Once a contractor is in place, further details on project phases and timelines will be shared with the community.
As the project commencement approaches, residents will have multiple opportunities to stay informed and provide input. A second information session is scheduled for April 9, and additional details will be available at the Cochrane Trade Show on May 3 and 4.
