Routes and schedules

Cochrane’s enhanced transit system has now launched, offering more reliable, accessible and predictable service across town. A major highlight of the upgrade is the introduction of scheduled fixed-route buses—now operating in Cochrane for the first time. Combined with flexible on-request transit, this new hybrid model gives you more ways than ever to move through town.

On-request service

Cochrane's on-request local transit service is available Monday to Friday 5:45 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

When you're planning your trip, request a ride in advance to your destination. As an on-request service, buses do not follow a fixed timetable or route — they go where rides are requested. On request buses serve designated stops within Cochrane.

To book a bus:

  1. Create an account on the  COLT websiteor mobile app (IOS or android) or call  403-851-5995.  Multiple trips can be booked up to a week in advance.
  2. Enter the pickup and drop-off locations and time of travel, then search for rides. Once confirmed, choose your payment method.
  3. Pickup location is finalized 15 minutes before your ride time. Track your ride in real-time on the app or website and check your phone for text message confirmations. If you booked on the phone, the operator will assign you a stop.
  4. After boarding, show the driver your booking confirmation and enjoy the ride. The bus may pick up other passengers along the way.
